     Those who say they do not believe in God are fools. They are corrupt, not able to do good, they have done abominable iniquity which translates into very wicked sinful actions. They do these things because they actually believe there is no God to whom they will face at the time judgment day rolls around. But, not believing does not cancel truth! Judgment day is coming as sure as there is a nose on your face, as sure as the sun rises and sets each day there is a terrible accounting coming for each and every act of sin! “And I saw a great white throne, and Him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Revelation 20:11-15 Every person who does not receive Christ as their Savior will be judged here!

     David continues his description of the Godless: “God looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, that did seek God. Every one of them is gone back: they are altogether become filthy; there is none that does good, no, not one.” (v.2, 3) He says these who deny God’s existence are not capable of understanding, or seeking God because they are gone back, they are altogether become filthy!

     In (v.4) he asks a rhetorical question: “Have the workers of iniquity no knowledge?” This is what David believes, these God-denying fools have no knowledge. “They eat up my people as they eat bread: they have not called upon God.”
